Been busy with heap of a jeep. 2.5 with 5 speed manual and the frame is solid. Patched the floor, rockers and fenders with my dad. This has been the best purchase I’ve made since I got my license. Learning how to weld and grind off welds. Its easy with the mig welder but the flux core wire isn’t great compared to gas shield. Oh well I’m on a budget, and love the crap out of this thing compared to my e38. Would like to get a soft top or bikini top for it. I’ll primer the patches and save up for generic yellow paint. Malibu yellow is expensive.

The floor has been cleaned painted and covered with bed liner. Sounds like the first jeep bro mod but it works for sound deading and heat.

The bed liner will not help with heat, and will be a bitch to keep clean. Also I think two hamster wheels with squirrels on them would be a better engine choice than that 2.5L, unless you supercharge it. Actually, you should supercharge it and add the squirrels.

/bedliner’d his CJ

I used to have a that same jeep, but in green. That 2.5l is gutless, but as reliable as the 4.0 with less oil seepage in my personal experience.

Don’t worry I’ll swap in a chevy 305 that smokes and has rod knock. I got the thing for a steal, I’m not gonna complain about the 2.5 until I try merge on the freeway with this thing.
